Wine Tasting in Santa Rosa!

After leaving Lake Tahoe, we headed to Santa Rosa, California right near the Napa/Sonoma area. We drove past a ton of vineyards and fields and fresh fruit and vegetable bodegas. First we went to our campsite to check in and shower. Our site was great, it was very secluded, with really no other people within view. After showering and putting up the tent, we set back out to check out the city. Santa Rosa itself is a really cute city, it has a lot of little restaurants and boutiques and things like that. We went to the Russian River Brewing Company for lunch. It was very tasty. Then we spent a bit of time walking around the city and did a little shopping at the mall there.

When we got back to the campsite we immediately got changed into bathing suits and walked down to the swimming area. It was kind of disappointing, the center of the little lake was roped off, so the deepest we could go in was about ip to our waists. It was also full of children, and a ton of geese. We stayed long enough to cool off (it was unbelievably hot), and then left. We spent a little time hanging out at our campsite before having dinner and going to bed.

The next day, we showered and packed up the campsite and left. We stopped by Lynmar Estates Vineyard and Winery to do a bit of wine tasting. It was really cool, the wine was delicious and the giu was super nice. After tasting the wines, he told us we could go outside and walk around the vineyard a bit, and to feel free to taste any of the fruit growing there. It was so beautiful, and really neat to see all the different things they had there, a ton of fruit and vegetables and flowers.
